These terms and conditions apply to the Aiona: Medical English and website (hereby collectively referred to as "Service") created by Anatolii Iakovenko (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") as a Freemium service. The Service includes mobile applications, web interfaces, and related services.

2. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, accessing, or using the Service, you automatically agree to these terms and conditions. Please read these terms carefully before using the Service. If you do not agree with these terms, you must not use the Service.

3. Service Description
3.1. The Service provides educational tools to support English language learning and exam preparation.
3.2. Features may include, but are not limited to:
  • AI-powered chat for practicing English conversation.
  • Access to medical-themed articles and reading materials for study purposes.
  • OET-style practice exams and exercises.
  • Quiz creation, management, and participation.
  • Vocabulary management and translation tools.
  • Audio recording functionality for educational purposes (requires explicit user permission).
3.3. The Service offers both free features and premium features available through in-app purchases and subscription plans.
3.4. Users are not required to create accounts to use the Service.

4. Medical Content Disclaimer and User Responsibility
Service Provider provides educational material for Medical English practice only. It is not medical advice and does not replace clinical training, local policies, or professional judgment. Information can be incomplete, inaccurate, or out of date. Always check medicines, doses, units, and procedures with trusted sources in your setting before you act. The user is responsible for clinical decisions and actions.Service Provider and its contributors accept no liability for any loss, injury, or harm arising from use of the content. In an emergency, follow local emergency procedures or seek urgent medical help.

5. User Identity and Privacy
5.1. The website uses cookies and local storage for session management and user identification within the session.
5.2. Audio recordings are temporarily stored and processed on our servers, after which they are permanently deleted.
5.3. User-created vocabulary lists and translation history are stored locally on the user's device.

6. Purchases and Subscriptions
6.1. The Service offers in-app purchases and subscription plans for premium features.
6.2. All purchases and subscriptions are subject to the payment terms of the respective app store (Google Play Store, Apple App Store).
6.3. Subscription fees are charged on a recurring basis according to the selected plan.
6.4. Users can cancel subscriptions according to the respective app store's cancellation policies.

7. Intellectual Property
7.1. Unauthorized copying, modification of the Service, any part of the Service, or our trademarks is prohibited.
7.2. The Service Provider reserves all rights not expressly granted in these terms.

8. User Content and Conduct
8.1. Users are responsible for all content they create using the Service's AI tools.
8.2. Users must not create or share content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable.
8.3. The Service Provider reserves the right to remove any content that violates these terms.
8.4. Users are responsible for ensuring they have necessary permissions for audio recording when using this feature.
8.5. The Service provides translations through third-party services. While we strive for accuracy, we cannot guarantee the complete accuracy of all translations.

  • Firebase Analytics
  • Firebase Crashlytics

10. Technical Requirements and Limitations
10.1. The Service requires an active internet connection (Wi-Fi or mobile data).
10.2. Users are responsible for any data charges incurred while using the Service.
10.3. The Service Provider is not responsible for service interruptions due to:
  • Device battery depletion
  • Internet connectivity issues
  • Device compatibility problems

  • Microphone or audio recording hardware issues

12.4. The Service Provider is not responsible for any issues arising from audio recording functionality or temporary storage of audio data.
12.5. The Service Provider is not responsible for any inaccuracies in translations or vocabulary definitions provided through the Service.

13. Changes to Terms
13.1. The Service Provider may modify these terms at any time.
13.2. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes to the Terms by updating this page with the new Terms and Conditions.
13.3. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

14. Governing Law
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Service Provider operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
